About Me

Thank you for checking out Optimistically Anna!

My name is Anna and I am a 20-something getting ready to enter the 'real world'. I graduated from my beloved alma mater in May of 2013 with a degree in Communication Studies. Through my experiences in college, I discovered a love for career building and specifically, learning about how to be a confident female young professional.

This summer I moved to Kansas City, Missouri to begin my career as a traveling consultant for a large company. I am excited about the opportunity to learn and grow within this position.

This transition from post-grad into the real world is such an exciting and crazy time. I wanted to capture some of that in this blog. There is so much worth exploring - from moving to a new city, to life as a young professional, to just figuring out this whole 20-something-being-an-adult thing.

Something to look forward to every week is "Professional Tip Tuesday" (PTT). Look for PTT posts on the sidebar. These posts will offer some insight on topics like elevator speeches, networking, and emails. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to see featured on Professional Tip Tuesday!

So take some time to explore the posts and links I have included on Optimistically Anna. I hope to provide lots of useful information for the 20-somthing post-grad and young professionals out there. In addition to that, feel free to comment and tell me about your experiences!

Thanks again for stopping by my blog - here's to many of adventures ahead!
-Anna
